"Rising from Darkness: A Poem on the Prevention of Suicidal Thoughts"

When darkness falls, and hope seems lost
And suicidal thoughts creep in at any cost
Remember, there is a way out of the pain
Prevention is key, and help is there to gain.

Talk to someone, a friend or therapist
Express your feelings, let them assist
They'll listen and help guide you through
To a brighter path, and a life anew.

Take time for self-care, and do what you love
Find joy and peace, like a hand in a glove
Explore your passions, and new things too
And know that life can be beautiful, for you.

Surround yourself with supportive friends
Who lift you up, and help make amends

And when the clouds gather, and darkness falls
Know that you're not alone, you can make the calls.

Prevention of suicidal thoughts is a call to action
To care for oneself, with love and compassion
It takes courage and strength to reach out
But the reward is a life, that's full and without doubt.
